Copper Love

I am super super proud of my dear husband and father in law this weekend. Since the news of the baby, we've kind of picked up the pace a bit on the basement. Let me stress "a bit". It's hard to do a basement by yourself when you have a full time job and a wife that wants you with the family any spare minute you have. We've worked out a schedule, though, so hopefully we'll start to see a lot of progress soon.

The progress that is being made right now is less visual...plumbing....for two guys that have VERY minimal plumbing experience, these guys did great.

First up, valves. Yup, the placed valvles on the hot and cold pipes leading to the full bath so that they don't have to cut off water to the whole house when they work on the bathroom. Let me tell you....very smart....especially when you have a pregnant wife that needs to go about every 15 minutes.

Best part, they work with no leaks!!! .... and there was soldering ivolved!!

Next, a nice pretty washer and dryer connection so that all the ugly stuff can be hidden by drywall.

Before you do that you need to do some fancy copper pipe work with fancy turns and stuff.

The fancy copper pipe work also leads to my very own laundry sink! I've never had a laundry sink before. There's even hot and cold water! I knew there wsa a reason why I married this man.

If you squint your eyes, you can almost see the drywall, cabinets, and flooring!
