Slave Labor

Things are kind of starting to settle down. I say that as Trev is about to embark on a trip and we...jake and I...head to Cleveland for 5 days. We had a great weekend. At least I did :).

Friday night grammy and gramps came into town so that gramps would be able to get up bright and early on Saturday morning to begin work on the basement. (Check out tddwell for updates on the progress!!) They informed me that since I'm the pregnant one, I got to pick the dinner spot. Ummm...I thought about it for days. Seriously. I finally chose Red Robin. I know. Of all the places to pick...a good burger just sounded awesome.

Saturday, while the menfolk worked on the basement, we took jake to Toys 'r Us and he loved it. He charmed his grammy into buying him a table and chairs.

He loves the set. I'll have to get pictures up of him sitting at the table soon. Since we've gotten it, he's eaten every meal at the table. I got to choose lunch on Saturday :)...Chic Fil A, of course!! My fab friend, Tanya, had a baby shower on Saturday evening so I got to go eat dinner at a swanky hotel that night.

On Sunday, we headed to Lowe's so that I could show Trev what I wanted for some of the finishes in the basement. Then I met a Sarah and Andrea for lunch. We each ordered and appetizer and dessert. Yum.

Ummm...yes...I'm pregnant...and yes...my life revolves around food. I have a whole theory behind my pregnancy and food but, that's for another time. :)

When I got home, we reviewed the handy work in the basement and promptly put jake to work.

He wants to be just like his daddy. Good thing because he mommy is too busy eating.
