Drywall!!!
Trev's really stepped up the pace on the basement. That may have something to do with the fact that I said I wanted to have a party down there for jake's birthday on May 8th. Is that pressure?
Anyway, he really pulled through and got all the electrical and plumbing done. There's working water valves, a new water line out to the garage (in hopes of getting a sprinkler system one day), a working toilet and working drains. I have canned lighting, gfc outlets, and wiring for a future surround sound system.
Now comes drywall. We were really determined to do everything ourselves. Then reality set in. We have another kid coming and time is flying by....and my desire to have a party for jake...or rather a party for the adults while we stick the kids in the basement to play...
We hired the drywall out. They started today. Drywall really makes it all seem so real!!
Here's our den space. I know there's a pole right there...we plan on putting our tv directly to the right of that pole and having built ins covering the pole and filling in the space around and behind the pole.
Now I'm standing on the other side of the den facing the stairs and the hallway to the other side of the basement.
Here's the view down that hallway. That doorway is into the bathroom. To the left is a guest bedroom and over to the right is another doorway into the laundry room.

This is the bedroom and the bedroom closet. Can't really tell much of anything but, we're super excited about all the drywall!
Looking into the bathroom. The shower stall is way in the back to the right.
This is where my sconces are going to go!! They'll be flanking a mirror above the vanity.
We're psyched about the drywall. It's really making it feel like we're actually finishing the basement.
