The boys wanted to go camping this summer.  The girls wanted to curl up in the bugless a/c.  Trev contemplated a backyard camp out but then the perfect opportunity arose.  Our club had a camp out around the 18th hole.

Now I'm not going to say anything about jake's first camp out experience being on a golf course with a catered dinner of hamburgers and hot dogs, smores served next to a table with white linens, or a buffet breakfast when he awoke the next morning.  I mean its quite the same as the FTX's I experienced college when I slept under the stars with no tent in my fatigues with a weapon next to me in my sleeping bag and a fabulous MRE breakfast waiting for me.  I'm not bitter.

It was, without a doubt, the best way to go camping.  I probably would've joined them if it wasn't for the love of my king sized bed.

We were a bit worried about how jake was going to react.  I fully expected them to come home at about 11.  Much to our surprise, jake loved it and handled it like a champ.  Trev did his best to document the night in between burgers and beers.  I'm pretty sure the boys will be doing it again next year.

Oh, wait, I forgot to mention that they screened a movie, too.  Yeah.
