Favorite Session of 2019 | Columbus - Short North, Ohio Family Photographer

When this mom emailed me for a session, I noticed her email address. She’s an interior designer. I mean, I had to do some stalking. Who wouldn’t? I probably shouldn’t because I found out she is a very talented interior designer. That’s when I got nervous. Uber talented people make me nervous which means I’m going to talk way more than I should which pretty much gives away my anxiety ridden awkward tendencies.

We met up at the Joseph in the Short North because they’re a cool family. Once they walked up and flashed their warm smiles, I felt better. Don’t get me wrong, they were still cooler than me (I probably had my Ugg’s on….ugh) and I still spoke way too much about absolutely nothing of importance. One day I’m going to be super cool and not the over the top suburban mom my son says I am.

Walking around Short North with them, I felt this ease. It was a warm ease. An ease that comes from love and loyalty that only true family and heart can bring out. They each had a quietly loud vibe of devotion that distance was not going to overcome.

This effortless warmth, genuine happiness and one of my favorite locations in Columbus combined to make my this my most unforgettable session of 2019.
